We are happy to announce a new feature called Custom Fields. This feature will allow organizations to add custom, structured data to plans and plan items that is specific to their use case or organization. Adding a custom field to a plan item allows the customer to capture additional information about that item, and users can view and filter by that custom field and the field’s values.
This option is only available to User Managers and you can access the Custom Fields page in the Admin dropdown.
Create & Manage
User Managers can create custom fields to be used by Plan Admins on plans. There are 11 different types of Custom Fields the User Managers can choose from dependent on their need. Custom fields can be edited and depending on the custom field type, certain fields within each can be edited. Archiving Custom Fields is available which removes the Custom Field from the list and removes all instances of the Custom Field across all Plans, Custom Dashboards, and Saved Searches.

Using a Custom Field in a Plan
Once a Custom Field has been created, it will be available to be added to a plan by a Plan Admin. Custom Fields can be accessed from the triple dot option menu on the top plan card for the plan. Here, the Plan Admin can choose 5 custom fields to apply to the plan. Once saved, the custom fields chosen will be displayed on Plan Items.
Custom Fields are displayed in a Plan Item on the right hand side of the modal. Order of the Custom Fields displayed in that section can be customized which will affect the order on all plan items in the plan. Clicking into the section will allow the Admin to apply values to the fields.
Viewing Custom Field Data
List View, Timeline View, My Dashboard, and Team Dashboard are all views where Custom Field columns will be available. Users can then select the Custom Field columns they would like to display.
Filtering on Custom Fields
Within the filterable views, custom fields have been added as filter option. They will be located at the bottom of the filter panel. The Hyperlink, Text, and Long Text Custom Field types cannot be filtered.
For MultiPlan View, Custom Field filters can be added or removed from the filter panel by the user.
Displaying Custom Fields on a Dashboard
Custom Field columns can be added to the List Widgets on Dashboards so any Saved Search filtering on Custom Fields will display the data.
