Previous Article: Adding a Custom Content Widget
The next widget we are going to add to our dashboard is a Heading widget. A heading widget can be used to segment your dashboard using a section heading.
To add a Heading widget, click on the "Heading" button in the toolbar and then select a drop-zone where you would like to put your widget. The drop-zones will appear as horizontal blue bars, indicating where you can place a widget. Click on the drop-zone to place your heading widget.

The Add Heading Widget Window
After selecting a widget drop-zone (i.e. where you want to place your widget), you will be prompted with a window titled "Add Heading Widget". This window will walk you through the steps necessary to create your heading widget.
The Add Heading Widget Window
Step 1: Choose Content, Name, and Style
Add your heading using the text area at the bottom of the window. When formatting your heading, you have a lot of options, including:
- Font
- Font Size
- Font Styling (Bold, Italic, Underlined)
- Font Color
- Alignment
If at any point in time you want to stop the creation of the widget and discard all of your setup, you can click on either the X button in the top right corner of the window or the Cancel button in the bottom right corner of the window.
Creating the Widget
After filling out the heading text, you are now ready to create your widget! Click on the "Add" button in the bottom right corner of the window and your widget will be added to the dashboard in the drop-zone you selected previously.
A newly created Heading widget
