You can now:
- Compare multiple metrics on a chart
- Compare a single metric’s performance across multiple time periods
- Customize the style of your line and column charts with extensive new options
- Scale the y-axis of charts directly within the Add and Edit Widget menus
Compare Multiple Metrics on a Single Chart
Metric Widgets now support comparing multiple metrics at once for both line and column charts, making it easier to track and evaluate shared goals or KPIs across teams and departments. Create cleaner dashboards that help your audience better understand performance at a glance. Key capabilities include:
- Compare up to 10 plan items in one chart
- Select metrics from one plan or multiple plans
- Track metrics that share the same unit of measurement (i.e. dollars, numbers, or percentages may be selected to compare)
- Show or hide your baseline, target, or advanced metric lines as needed
Compare a Metric Across Multiple Time Periods
You can also create new line and column charts that compare the performance of a single metric across repeating time periods. New comparison options include:
- Year over Year
- Quarter over Quarter
- Month over Month
You can also define when your year begins, making it easy to create charts custom-tailored for use cases and plans that track data outside of a standard calendar year cycle.
New Styling Options for Charts
New styling options make it easier to highlight key data and distinguish between metrics or time periods on both line and column charts, as well as match your organization's unique branding or presentation requirements. You can now customize:
- Line or column set color
- Line style (solid or dashed)
- Line weight
- Apply custom legend labels
You also have an additional new ability to hide baseline, target, and advanced metric lines. Highlight only the most critical information and reduce visual noise in your line charts as needed.
New Y-Axis Scaling Controls
You can now set custom minimum and maximum ranges directly within the Add or Edit Metric Widget menu for line or column charts. Previously, this option was only available in the Metric Details section of the Plan Item modal.
