Bot Commands in Microsoft Teams

This feature is currently in Beta. This feature is available on certain AchieveIt plans. Contact your Customer Success Manager to learn more.

Overview

Users can interact with the bot in their Chat feed and in Channels. This is how users can access their notification settings, our knowledge base, they can open the AchieveIt app in a browser window, and they can sign in/out with it.

Supported Bot Commands

Users can call the entire list of options by typing Help in the message bar at the bottom of the Chat. Users will have to @mention the AchieveIt App then type Help in the Channel message bar to display the Help notification card. Also if the bot doesn't recognize a command, it will suggest to the user that they type Help to see the list of supported bot commands or support links.

The AchieveIt bot supports several commands users can type directly into the Chat message bar:

  • Notifications (both Users Chat and Channel) — Opens the notification settings card to manage individual notification preferences
  • Help (both Users Chat and Channel) - Displays useful information like bot commands or support links.
  • Support — Links to the AchieveIt Help Center
  • Open AchieveIt — Opens the AchieveIt app in a browser tab
  • Sign In / Sign Out — Manages the user's authentication state within Teams

At any point, a user can type the specific bot command they would like to use. So by typing Notifications, the notification card will display and the user can configure their settings or settings for the channel.
