Archiving dashboards helps keep your custom dashboard list focused on dashboards actively in use and allows you to remove those you no longer need to access regularly. You can unarchive dashboards at any time to bring them back into your active view.
How to Archive a Dashboard
To archive a dashboard, click the triple-dot Actions menu in the row of any dashboard you have editing access to, then select 'Archive.'
Click 'Archive Dashboard' to archive the dashboard and remove it from the Active list. Archiving a dashboard will:
- Remove it from any user’s Favorites list.
- It will no longer appear as a homepage for users who had it set as one.
- Remove visibility for Viewers.
The dashboard will appear in your Archived list. Only Editors will be able to unarchive the dashboard to return it to an Active state.
How to Unarchive a Dashboard
Find the dashboard you want to unarchive in your Archived list. Click the triple-dot Actions button at the end of the dashboard’s row, then select 'Unarchive'.
Click 'Unarchive Dashboard' to unarchive the dashboard and return it to the Active list. Unarchiving a dashboard will make it visible to Viewers once again.
The dashboard will be removed from the Archived list and returned to the Active tab.
